Donald Killeen is shot and killed in Framingham.

He is the reputed boss of a South Boston’s organized crime gang whose headquarters are the Transit CafĂ© (later Triple O’s Lounge) at 28 West Broadway, Killeen is gunned down in the driveway of his home just minutes after his son’s fourth birthday party. His murder is said to prompt a truce between his gang and the rival Mullen gang.
